Daoyin is often understood as an ancient precursor of Qigong and literally translates into English as something along the lines of “guiding and pulling”. While not untrue on one level this does not describe the full picture.
In this session we will explore a practice intended to create opening and release in the body and mind. Ideal as a preparation for seated practice it is also a marvellous way to start the day, combining self-massage, breathing and gently held postures, mostly taking place on a mat as in yoga.
There will be a break for tea and time for a Q&A at the end of the session. Please wear loose and comfortable clothing that will allow you to move freely.
No previous experience necessary.
Please inform the teacher before starting the session if you have any injury or health condition or if you have recently had an operation.
