Relaxation is a skill we learn. This workshop will focus techniques for releasing tension and relaxing in our yoga practice.
The poses (asana) will be supportive and held for longer. We will focus on resting the spine, opening the chest, stretching and releasing nerves particularly in the legs to help rest the nervous system.
Releasing muscular tension also allows us to breathe and be more freely. We will build the poses (asana) towards practicing breathing techniques (pranayama).
Wear comfortable clothing that does not restrict movement.
Please inform the teacher before starting the session if you have any injury or health condition or if you have recently had an operation.
